STLsmith – AI Prompt → 3D Model Generator (SCAD/STL)
🚀 STLsmith v0.3.0 is a lightweight command-line tool that turns natural language prompts into 3D models you can slice and print. No CAD skills required.
How it works
Pricing Note: This template is priced at a $5 minimum so it’s accessible to everyone. The suggested value is $20. If you find value and want to support my mission of bringing AI tools to underserved regions, you’re welcome to pay more.
You type:
python3 stlsmith_cli.py "box 50x30x10 mm with four 3mm corner holes" --name plate
STLsmith generates:
cad/plate.scad (OpenSCAD file)
stl_exports/plate.stl (ready to print, if OpenSCAD is installed)
Logged design metadata in logs/stlsmith_log.jsonl
Supported designs
Box / Cube / Plate (custom width, depth, height)
Cylinder / Tube / Pipe (with diameter & height)
Sphere (with radius/diameter)
Holes:
Center bore (with 5mm center hole)
Corner holes (with four 3mm holes in the corners)
Grid patterns (with 3x5 holes diameter 2mm spacing 10mm)
Units: mm (default), cm, inches (" or in)
Why STLsmith?
Runs entirely offline – no cloud or API required
Works in Termux (Android), Linux, macOS, or Windows
